At Overland Travel Adventures (OTA) we recognize that privacy is important. This document outlines the types of personal information we receive and collect when you use our services, as well as some of the steps we take to safeguard information. 1. PERSONAL INFORMATION AND OTHER DATA WE COLLECT

In order to be able to supply a service to you, OTA will need to collect certain information from you, some of which may be of a personal nature.  These details will usually include the names and addresses of party members, payment details and special requirements such as those relating to any disability or medical condition that may affect the holiday arrangements.  OTA takes full responsibility for ensuring that proper security measures are in place to protect you information.

 

OTA collects personal information when you register for a service or otherwise voluntarily provide such information. Such as:
• Subscribe to one of OTA’s email newsletters
• Request a brochure or other printed materials
• Book a trip with OTA
• Refer a friend to OTA

OTA may also use personal information for auditing, research and analysis to operate and improve OTA’s services.OTA may share aggregated non-personal information with third parties outside of OTA, such as our travel industry partners to better analyse trends and further improve our services.

OTA may also share information with third parties in limited circumstances, including when complying with legal process, preventing fraud or imminent harm, and ensuring the security of our network and services.

 

OTA will not share or sell your data to third parties without permission.

 

When you provide your email address to OTA to make an online enquiry, your contact details may be retained even if the transaction is not completed.  This is so we can assist you in future with bookings, and as a result of this you may receive an enquiry email. If you choose not to respond to this email, your data will be destroyed and not used for any future communications.

OTA offers you choices when we ask for personal information, whenever reasonably possible.

 

You may decline to provide personal information to OTA and/or refuse cookies in your browser, although some of our features or services may not function properly as a result.

OTA makes good faith efforts to provide you access to your personal information upon request and to let you correct such data if it is inaccurate and delete it, when reasonably possible.

 

OTA will use your information to inform you of offers in the future or to send you brochures.  If you do not wish to receive such approaches in the future then please let us know as soon as possible by telephone, letter or email us at tracey@ota-responsibletravel.com.  If we do contact you by email about special offers, you will also be able to unsubscribe yourself from our database at this time.
