On arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your accommodation in Nairobi for check in, dinner and overnight stay.

If exploring is your aim, a range of shopping experiences include luxury malls and Maasai open air markets, or for a real taste of Africa, visit nearby Nairobi National Park.

Day 2: Nairobi to Samburu

After breakfast drive north to 'Born Free' country, where Joy and George Adamson raised Elsa the lion cub in the wild. Beautiful Shaba, Buffalo Springs and Samburu National Reserves comprise the area known as 'Samburu'. Arrive in time for lunch at your accommodation in the midst of this beautiful but harshly arid landscape.

Day 3: Samburu National Reserve

Spend all day on safari in the reserve. Irrigated by the river, which is home to  numerous hippo  and  crocodiles, Samburu offers  sanctuary  to  large  herds  of  elephant,  healthy numbers  of  lion, leopard, cheetah, plentiful plains game, reticulated giraffe, rare Beisa's Oryx, kudu and gerenuk. It is also one of the few reserves in which you can see the Grevy’s zebra (rather than the more common Burchell's zebra found elsewhere) and the critically endangered wild dog. Offering 100 species of birds, the reserve is also home to the rare blueshanked Somali ostrich.

Included meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 7: Serengeti to Ngorongoro

After and early breakfast, drive to the famous Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area (NCCA), which features rolling plains, lakes, craters, mountains and dormant volcanoes. Journey up the side of the vast Ngorongoro Crater, a World Heritage Site and one of the largest volcanic craters in the world (almost 20 kilometres wide, 610-760 metres deep and covering a total area of 264 sq km).

Descend into the ‘8th Wonder of the World’, a unique biosphere that has remained virtually unchanged since the dawn of time. Enclosed within its towering walls are grasslands, swamps, forests, saltpans, a fresh water lake and a glorious variety of birdlife. Here too are all the members of the ‘Big Five’ (lion, elephant, rhino, leopard and buffalo) as well as a large cast of plains game and one of Africa’s densest populations of predators. Enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor before climbing back up to your accommodation in time for relaxation before dinner.
