Day 1: Arrive Nairobi

Jambo! Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, you will be met by a representative from Overland who will greet you and assist with the transfer to your hotel for overnight.

Day 2: Nairobi to Meru National Park

You will be collected at 07h30 from your hotel and transferred to Wilson Airport to catch the Air Kenya scheduled flight to Meru which departs at 09h15. On arrival into Meru you will be met at the airstrip and transferred to your lodge.

Day 3: Meru National Park

Enjoy a full day game drive. it is located on the north east of Mount Kenya and a former home of Joy and George Adamson and Elsa the lioness. It has more han 400 bird species anda variety of mammals ranging from diffent species of antelopes, reticulaated giraffe, elephants and buffaloes.

Day 4: Meru National Park to Shaba

After breakfast you will be transferred to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to Samburu departing at 1035hrs arriving at 1100hrs. You will be met at Samburu airstrip and transferred to your tented camp. Enjoy an afternoon game drive.

Day 5: Shaba Game Reserve

Enjoy a full day game drive. Shaba isknown as birdwatchers paradise located in the eastern corner of Samburu ecosystem. There are various unique wildlife to capture gerenuk antelope, Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe and a good sightings for the big cats in the daylight (cheetah, leopard, lion).

Day 6: Shaba to Maasai Mara

After breakfast you will be transferred to the airstrip for the safari link scheduled flight to the Masai Mara departing at 09h10. You will be met at the Keekorok airstrip where transferred to your accommodation. Enjoy an afternoon game drive viewing in the Mara ecosystem.

Day 7: Maasai Mara

Enjoy a full day game drive. The Maasai Mara Game Reserve, Kenya’s greatest wildlife reserve and Africa’s most famous safari destination. It is where over two million wildebeest and zebra migrate annually. It is the home of the BBC wildlife channel’s Big Cat Diary since it holds one of the highest densities of lions in the world. Other game animals include elephants, buffalo, rhino, giraffe, cheetah, crocodile, hippos and small mammals including hyrax, dik dik and mongoose. Enjoy a walk with the local Maasai up to the escarpment for sweeping views over the Maasai Mara.

Day 8: Maasai Mara

Spend a full day game driving in the eco-system of Maasai Mara. Here a variety of biodiversity is to be seen ranging from the big five to smaller mammals. Varieties of antelopes such as Thomson’s gazelle, impalas and waterbucks, scavengers like hyenas and vultures, and all cats (leopards, lion and cheetah) cannot be missed. Lions are abundant and there are high chances to spot cheetah, but sighting a leopard requires more luck than just being there. Elephants, zebras and buffaloes are plenty, roaming around the plains of the Mara. The hippo pool is a popular spot to watch out for hippos, and you may catch crocodiles basking on the rocks. Return to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Maasai Mara to Nairobi

After a last game drive in the Masai Mara, at 8h30 you will be transferred to the airstrip to catch the 11h00 Safari Link flight back to Nairobi where you will be transferred to the airport for your departure flight back home.
