Day 1: Arrive Nairobi
Arrive in Nairobi, transfer to your accommodation.  Depending on the time of arrival, the rest of the day is at leisure. You may opt for excursions to the National Museum, Karen Blixen Museum, or a city tour.
One option is to visit Amani Kibera’s projects including the library, the young women’s group and, if our timing is good, a football game.  Amani Kibera is a community-based organisation working for harmony and peace in Nairobi’s slums.  Their focus is on young people, assisting in getting girls back to school, building a library and establishing a football league.

Day 2: Nairobi to Amboseli
This morning, depart on your safari adventure. Drive to Amboseli National Park nestled at the foothills of Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa. Amboseli is a top destination in Kenya for wildlife. Indeed, one of the classic images of East Africa is that of a herd of elephant strolling across the plains with the snow-capped peak of Kilimanjaro in the background. It is to catch this sight that people flood to Amboseli National Park. While Kilimanjaro is actually across the border in Tanzania, Amboseli has a perfect view of the world’s tallest free-standing mountain, rising an impressive 5895 metres above the plains.

Included meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 4: Amboseli to Naivasha
The best time to view the majestic mountain is at dawn, when the clouds lift and the light is clear and soft.  Rise early to witness the African sunrise lighten the majestic mountain, distributing its golden rays to the dry savannah of Amboseli National Park. It’s a very good photo opportunity.  After breakfast, depart for Naivasha.

Day 5: Naivasha to Maasai Mara
The day begins with a walking safari at the Green Crater Lake Reserve.  This peaceful reserve is not home to many predators, making it a unique place to get up close and personal with the animals.  Following the walking safari, head to the Maasai Mara, Kenya’s greatest wildlife reserve and Africa’s most famous safari destination. The Maasai Mara Ecosystem is where over two million wildebeest and zebra migrate annually.  It also holds one of the highest lion densities in the world, which is why it the home of the BBC wildlife channel’s Big Cat Diary.  Other game includes: leopard, cheetah, buffalo, rhino, elephant, giraffe, zebra, lion, plains game, crocodile and small mammals including mongoose, hyrax, dik dik and the nocturnal porcupine.  Enjoy a late afternoon game drive followed by dinner.
Included meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Approximate driving time: 5 hours

Day 6: Maasai Mara
Spend a full day game driving in the Maasai Mara. The abundance and variety of game in this reserve is nothing short of amazing. Nearly every mammal can be seen in the Masai Mara, including various antelopes, scavengers like hyena and vultures, and all the cats (lion, cheetah and leopard).  Sighting a leopard needs luck more than just being there, but lions are abundant and there are excellent chances for spotting cheetah. The hippo pool is a popular spot to watch out for hippos; with luck, you may catch crocodile basking on the rocks. Elephants, buffalo, the Maasai giraffe, wildebeest and the common zebra abound. Return to the camp for dinner and overnight.
